Common Questions
What participants should know before attending:
No horse experience required and riding is not part of the exprience.
Participants interact with the horses from the ground through structured activities
Because the experience takes place around large animals in an outdoor or indoor arena, participants will be asked to follow simple safety guidelines throughout the day. Safety of both participants and horse is a priority.
The horses involved in the experience are carefully selected for their calm and steady nature, and the activities are structured and facilitated in a way that prioritizes safety for both participants and horses.
As with any activites involving animals and the outdoors, participants will be asked to review and sign a standard waiver before the session.
What if I am nervous around horses?
That is very common feeling and totally normal.
Most participants arrive with little to no experience around horses, and it is common to feel some hesitation at first.
The Flow Experience horses are used to students of all ages as most of them were long standing riding lesson horses in their previous career.
Feeling nervous will not affect them as at all.
During the structured activities from the ground with the horses, participants are guided and facilitated, step by step through the whole process. There is always space to slow down, observe and time to get comfortable. No one is asked to do anything they are ready to do.
For many people, the initial nervousness becomes part of gaining a greater sends of confidence and calm as the day unfolds.
What should I wear?
Comfortable outdoor clothing and shoes suitable for different weather.
We will be spending time indoors and outdoors and there will be a room to leave your belongings. It is important to feel comfortable so come prepared with different options.
We also recommend clothing you do not mind getting dusty.
The important part is to wear closed-toe shoes - no sandals, no flip flops.
You can bring different pairs of shoes and change during the day.
